In the third year of the Texas Majors series, we’re adding a lot more tournaments and a lot more ways to compete with the culmination of the season being the ultimate Texas tournament: Texas Nationals!

The Lafayette Major is not only our 5th TASR Major of our 2021 Tournaments, but it is also an SRA sanctioned event and has divisions for players of all skill levels!

COVID-19

We are committed to providing a safe environment for our players and spectators while continuing to provide competitive and athletic outlets for our communities.

All COVID-19 precautions can be found at Texasroundnet.com/covid-19

New Rules

The 2021 TASR Major Season will be following the rules set by the SRA board in the Gold Division. As the leading organization in developing competitive players at the highest level and building strong communities, we see the importance of preparing our players for the highest level of play.

Contender division will be using NHZ.

Advanced will not be playing with the No Hit Zone. Although if both teams would like to ply with the No Hit Zone they are welcome to accept those as rules for their game in the advanced division.

The new “lip rule” will be used across all our divisions.
For more info on this rule visit here

What Division Is Right For You?

Intermediate: You have played a tournament or two, but aren’t ready for fast serves and next level hits.

- Premier level players may not play intermediate, and 2 Gold players may not play intermediate together.

Advanced: You are ready to feel the heat of competition a little more but haven’t qualified for Gold yet.

- 2 Gold players may not play advanced if a Gold division is available.
- No Hit Zone will not be played in advanced

Contender: This will be an advanced division that uses NHZ. Top placing players in this division will be eligible to earn premier status as recognized by the Spikeball Tournament Series.

Premier: Qualification only division. Both Players must be premier qualified as recognized by the Spikeball Tournament Series.

Women’s: As we look to grow the sport we want to help the women’s side of the sport grow and create competition between ballers of all levels as we grow the sport. As the women’s division grows we will look to install different levels of competition for the women’s division.

If one of the divisions does not have at least 8 teams it will be combined with another division.

Roundnet is the sport popularized by Spikeball inc. You may have heard of it referred to as Spikeball, but that is merely the brand who makes the product on which roundnet is played! Check out their information at Spikeball.com!
